Terms of Service
World of Tired People is a public world map where people drop a pin to say they're tired. These terms are the agreement between you and Denis Burtsev (“we”, “us”), who runs the site. By using the site or dropping a pin, you agree to them.
The short version
- A pin is an anonymous marker on a public map, placed within about 1 km of the spot you pick.
- Free pins stay for 24 hours, Epic pins ($0.99 or 49 ₽) for 48 hours, and Legendary pins ($1.99 or 99 ₽) for 72 hours. Then they're deleted.
- You can get a full refund for a paid pin within 30 days, for any reason.
- Don't spam the map or use it to hurt anyone.
1. Who we are
The site is run by Denis Burtsev, registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. You can reach us at hello@tiredmap.com or [CONTACT PHONE].
2. What you get
A pin is a digital product: a marker on the map on this site that everyone who visits can see. There are three kinds:
| Pin | Price | Stays on the map |
|---|---|---|
| RegularGray pin, “Tired” | Free | 24 hours |
| EpicPurple pin, “Tired as hell” | $0.99 or 49 ₽ | 48 hours |
| LegendaryYellow pin, “Freaking done” | $1.99 or 99 ₽ | 72 hours |
- Pins are delivered instantly. A free pin goes live as soon as you drop it, and a paid pin as soon as your payment is confirmed. Nothing is shipped or downloaded, and there's no account or subscription.
- A pin's time starts when it goes live. It fades over the last quarter of that time, and when the time is up it disappears from the map and is deleted.
- Once a pin is live, it can't be moved, extended, or changed to a different kind.
3. Pins are anonymous and approximate
- We don't ask who you are. A pin has no name, text, or photo, only its color and when it went live.
- Your browser rounds the spot you pick to about 1 km before sending it, and our server shifts it again by a random amount. So a pin shows roughly where someone was, never an exact address.
- Anyone can drop a pin and nobody checks them, so the map is just for fun. Don't rely on it for anything important.
Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we store and for how long.
4. Paying for a pin
In US dollars
Orders paid in US dollars are processed by our online reseller, Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for those orders. Paddle takes the payment and handles billing questions and refunds for them, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the payment. Depending on where you are, Paddle may add VAT or sales tax. The checkout shows the total before you pay.
In rubles
Ruble payments go through YooKassa (ЮKassa) on its own payment page. For a pin paid in rubles, your contract is our публичная оферта (public offer, in Russian), with the seller named there. Where the offer and these terms differ, the offer applies to that purchase.
Either way
- Every price is a one-time payment. Nothing renews.
- If your payment doesn't go through, your pin isn't placed. A pin that's waiting for payment is never shown to anyone, and is deleted after 24 hours if it isn't paid.
- We may change our prices. A change never affects a pin you've already paid for.
5. Refunds
You can get a full refund for an Epic or Legendary pin within 30 days of paying, for any reason. If you paid and your pin never showed up, or it disappeared before its time was up, we'll refund it too. Our Refund Policy explains how to ask.
6. Using the map fairly
Please don't:
- flood the map with pins, or get around the limits on how many pins one connection can drop;
- use bots, scripts, or other automated tools to drop pins or to load the site in bulk;
- use pins to advertise, to spell out words or shapes, or to point at a particular person or place;
- pay with a card or account you aren't allowed to use, or dispute a genuine payment to get a pin for free;
- try to break, overload, or get around the site's security or payments, or get in the way of other visitors;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
We may remove pins that break these rules, and block access to the site for whoever dropped them, without notice.
7. Keeping the site running
We provide the site as it is and as it's available. We work to keep it up, but we can't promise it will always be online, fast, or free of errors, and we may change, pause, or close it. If a problem on our side takes a paid pin off the map early, write to us and we'll refund it.
8. Who owns what
The site, its design, and its code belong to us. The map is drawn from data © OpenStreetMap contributors, served by OpenFreeMap. Dropping a pin gives you the right to have it shown for its time, and nothing more.
9. Our responsibility to you
- As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and our total liability to you for a pin is limited to what you paid for it.
- Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer.
- If you break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, as far as the law allows.
- We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages at our hosting, payment, or map providers.
10. Suspension and ending
You can stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or block your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we suspect fraud or chargeback abuse, or if your use puts the site's security at risk. Sections 9 and 12 still apply after that.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. A purchase is always covered by the version that was in force when you paid.
12. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the law of [GOVERNING LAW], and disputes go to the courts of [JURISDICTION]. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the law where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
- We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to whoever takes over the site. You can't transfer yours.
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms, or anything else: hello@tiredmap.com, [CONTACT PHONE], or by post to [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
